Annatto 160b colour count
Is the yellow tide receding? - please help with the annatto 160b count!
In 2009-2011 Kathleen of Additive Education scoured supermarkets and found 181 products containing annatto 160b. See her list (now outdated).
This is the only natural colour that affects children and adults as badly as any artificial colour. Many food companies have responded to our lobbying and removed this yellow colour with the safe natural colour 160a beta-carotene, or with nothing at all.
What we are asking for is help from members of the Food Intolerance Network to update the colour count. How many foods NOW contain annatto 160b? See progress with updated list 20 so far and counting.....
